TEANDRA WALTON

TeAndra Walton serves as a Bookkeeper/Tax Department Administrator for Watkins and Company, CPAs. As Bookkeeper/Tax Department Administrator, TeAndra’s responsibilities include performing various accounting and tax services for individual and business clients of Watkins and Company CPAs.

Practice Areas

Prior to joining Watkins and Company, CPAs, TeAndra previously spent 5 years working as a Tax Auditor/Accountant for the MS Department of Revenue Northern District and as the Director of Business Operations for a local Mental Health Clinic for the past 3 years. In her work with the DOR her primary responsibilities included educating taxpayers of the applicable tax laws through the auditing of sales/use, income and withholding taxes for small to large business owners in the State of Mississippi. While with the DOR TeAndra was able to gain a wide range of knowledge in different industries and consistently collected on unreported taxes for the state.

Ms. Walton graduated from Jackson State University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She is currently studying for the CPA licensure exam.

TeAndra is a native Mississippian who spent her formative years growing up in Pensacola, FL before moving back to Mississippi for High School. She enjoys advocating for mental health awareness and the eradication of youth homelessness in Jackson, MS by serving as a Treasurer on the Board of Directors for a local non-profit organization. When TeAndra is not working, she enjoys exploring different cultures through travel, reading, gardening and doing DIY projects with her family and friends.
